Our hotel stay was comfortable and very affordable. Most importantly, we felt safe. The room is clean and just enough for 2. And so far, the service was prompt.

Though, just to share, when we arrived at around 12am, we were just quite apprehensive and hesitant when we saw that the hotel was closed then. When the driver knocked, we saw a guy, just wearing shorts, half-naked. It just came so informal for us. But anyhow, we were assisted well and they were very accommodating. If we may suggest, perhaps a WIFI facility could be made available to the hotel, because we find it necessary these days.

The hotel was under average. There were little bugs in the room and we did find some in the beds. The floor that we were on smelt like moth balls. The fan did not work in our room but the a/c worked. The beds were not very comfortable. Our last night there was water in the bedroom and our luggage and clothes got wet.

The staff at the hotel were friendly but not over the top friendly.

I stayed in Phoenix 74 Hotel for 4 days during my visit to Vietnam( 27.01.2011 to 31.01.2011 )
and my stay in the Hotel was comfortable. I had not experienced any problem.

The room I am staying is 401, the following is lacking
1) Air con is not cold
2 The air flow is very weak
3) No drinking water provided in the room
4) Though Breakfirst is stated included, no
B/first is provided.
5) I came back at about 12.00 pm the main
gate was locked, and cannot go up to
my room.I cannot access to my room.
6) I had to spend 1 night sitting at Saigon Pub.
7) This can be verified by the staff at Saigon Pub
( 11/2/11 to 12/2/11 )
8) There are no beverages in the fridge though there is one fridge in the room

I decided to change Hotel on the 12/2/11 at about 4.00pm to nam son hotel at Nguyen Trai St., Nguyen Cu Trinh Ward,D1 HCM City.
Note: My advise to all Singaporean to give this hotel a missed
I had visited HCM 4 times and this is the worst hotel experiences I have had. The other 3 stay were enjoyable.

A family run hotel with service mind staff members. No hair dryer upon request. The hotel provides a number of good quality amenities in room (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and toilet paper rolls).
