Mountain View Hotel

A rather unpleasant experience. We felt that the hotel staff were arrogant, unfriendly and did not put any commitment into their jobs. It was like we owed them a living during our stay in the hotel. A particularly bad experience was when my family changed rooms, the pillow cases and bed sheets were definitely not changed after the previous occupants, as there were still strong human odours on the bed linens. When I told the front desk staff, he just simply said "ok, I will get someone to change it" without any apology, as if that was the norm in the Vietnamese hotel experience.
Through our travels in the country, most people were polite, helpful, and mostly competent - and even if they were not competent they still tried to the best to their ability. We've had been to hotels with far cheaper prices and much better service. Furthermore, in the Hotels-in-Vietnam.com's information page, the check out time is 12pm but the hotel staff demanded us to check out at 9am. Sadly, this is the worst hotel experience we have had in Vietnam. I will never never go back to the Mountain View Hotel again even the room rate is USD $2.
